La Sagrada Família

Sagrada Família is Barcelona’s most famous and impressive landmark and one of its most visited tourist attractions. Designed by Antoni Gaudí, its construction began in 1882 and continues today. Gaudí dedicated his later years to this project, blending Gothic and Art Nouveau styles with nature-inspired elements, curved forms, and detailed designs.

Inside, the colorful stained glass creates a truly magical experience. Every part of the basilica has meaning, from the detailed carvings to the symbolic designs. The interior pillars resemble trees, changing shape as you look up, similar to real trees. Sagrada Familia is more than just a beautiful building; it’s a unique blend of art and architecture, filled with rich symbols and details.

Today, over 140 years after the cornerstone was laid, construction on the basilica continues. Despite being unfinished, it became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1984 for its unique and innovative architecture.

Park Güell

Designed by the visionary architect Antoni Gaudí, Park Güell is a vibrant park filled with colorful mosaics and nature-inspired architecture. Known for its whimsical sculptures and beautiful examples of Catalan modernism, it is one of the largest green spaces in Barcelona, covering more than 17 hectares.

Park Güell, designed by Gaudí during his naturalist stage, celebrates the harmony between nature, creativity, and architecture. Named after Eusebi Güell, Gaudí’s friend and patron, the park was inspired by nature’s organic forms and influenced by British parks that Güell admired.

Built between 1900 and 1914, Park Güell opened to the public as a park in 1926. In 1984, UNESCO named it a World Heritage Site in 1984, highlighting its importance in Antoni Gaudi’s portfolio.

As one of Barcelona’s most popular tourist destinations, Park Güell has a ticketing system to manage visitor numbers and preserve tranquility. The park offers stunning city views and a peaceful escape from the bustling city.

The facade of Casa Batlló is covered in colorful mosaic tiles, resembling a shimmering sea. The wavy shapes and organic forms make the building seem alive, with mask-like balconies and bone-like columns. This imaginative design shows Gaudí’s creative genius.

Visitors can explore the unique rooms, artistic elements, and rooftop terrace. Each room is a work of art, and the building is now a museum with original furniture, photographs, and interactive exhibits. Casa Batlló is a must-see on any Barcelona itinerary.
