The food tour exceeded our expectations!

Our tour guide, Daniel, was absolutely the best! As promised, he took us to amazing tapas bars and showed us many hidden gems along the way. The tour was very informative, and Daniel answered all our questions! The group size was small, and in no time, we all became friends. We tasted the best jamon iberico ever, and the wine selection was excellent. I can't recommend this tour enough!

Samuel
Interesting history and delicious food!

Great, authentic tapas tour, and a perfect way to spend your Saturday afternoon! The tour guide won't take you to the touristic places, but to the less known spots that only locals know about. We walked through El Born and the Gothic Quarter, which was great because I was not that familiar with the history of Barcelona. This tour was unique and I highly recommend booking it when in Barcelona!

Barcelona Food Tour

WALK THROUGH GOTHIC QUARTER

Start your tour in the Gothic Quarter. Meet your knowledgeable tour guide and a small group of up to twelve people that will accompany you on this tasty journey. As you walk through the most famous parts of Barcelona, you'll find many interesting facts about the way the city looked years ago. Did you know that in the Gothic Quarter, you can find remains of the Roman walls that date back to the 1st century BC? So much more you can learn about the city if you simply join us!

BEST TAPAS PLACES IN EL BORN

Continue through the old neighborhood of El Born and follow your guide through the small streets. With each step, you move further away from the tourist crowds. The El Born neighborhood is known as an open-air museum. It's best known for well preserved medieval streets that date back to the 13th century. Here, you'll stop at three authentic 'bodegas,' where you'll taste the best local products like cheese, ham, patatas bravas, and octopus, perfectly paired with wine, cava, and vermouth.

MEETING DIETARY NEEDS

Padron Pepper Roulette

Have you ever heard of Padron Peppers? This traditional Spanish tapas is often served in summer when the season is blooming, and the ingredients are fresh. However, these peppers can be served throughout the year, grilled or marinated. Now, let's get to the point of why they have a 'roulette' in their name.

The taste of these peppers is often mild and sweet, BUT one out of ten has a strong chili kick that will make you grimace. If you're in a bar or a restaurant with friends, pull out this game, and the one with the worst facial expression will have to pay the whole bill!

GOOD TO KNOW BEFORE YOU GO

  • Please arrive at the meeting point 10 minutes before the tour.
  • Let your tour guide know if you have any allergies or food requirements.
  • Book your tour in advance to ensure you get your preferred date and time slot.
  • Remember to wear a hat and sunglasses and apply sunscreen for protection during the summer.
