About Hola Barcelona Travel Card
Explore Barcelona at your own pace with the Hola Barcelona Travel Card! Enjoy unlimited access to Barcelona’s public transport system and forget about buying individual tickets. With this card, you can avoid extra costs for airport transfers and easily reach the city center. All you have to do is choose between a 48, 72, 96, or 120-hour pass.
Discover the city center at your own pace without worrying about individual ticket costs. This card can save you plenty of time and money compared to purchasing separate tickets for every trip.
Hola Barcelona Travel Card provides access to Barcelona’s public transportation system, including the metro, trams, buses, and trains. Choose a validity period that suits you best, and enjoy unlimited rides within Zone 1.
When you board the metro, bus, train, or tram in Barcelona, just swipe your card at the designated card readers. It will activate with the first swipe and remain valid for your selected duration. Thanks to the city's extensive public transport network, you can easily explore Barcelona's main attractions.
A highlight of the Hola Barcelona Card is the included airport transport. Why pay extra when your travel card already includes the fare to reach Barcelona's city center?
Buying a Hola travel card was super worth it! Since our apartment was located a bit outside the city center, we managed to save plenty of money that we would spend in any other case. The city has a great connection, and the metro is definitely the quickest. We stayed in Barcelona for three days and flew from Barcelona Airport, making this card perfect for us!
Getting a card online was very easy. You will simply receive a QR code that you can scan at the Tourist Information Center or any metro vending machine. The metro rides every 2-3 minutes, so reaching the desired destination is quite fast. I suggest you use the buses. Even though they're a bit slower than the metro, you'll be able to enjoy the stunning sites and attractions you pass by.

Olympic spending: sports vs tourism
Barcelona gained the second-largest budget in Olympic history (around US$10,000 million). To host the 1992 Olympic Games, the city invested in renovating sports venues and building the Barcelona Olympic Village, which accommodated participants. What's interesting is that they decided to spend a significant amount of money on beach expansion, new public transport connections, and airport extension.
Hosting the Olympics placed Barcelona on the global map as a tourist destination. The 1992 Games remained a key example of how a major international event can have a lasting positive impact on a city!
